Ingredient for Carrot Halwa/Indian Dessert

Grated Carrots – 1.5 kg
Mawa – 250 gms
Sugar – 300 gms
Milk – 500 ml
Ghee – 5 tbsp
Cashews – 15 to 20
Almonds – 15 to 20
Green Cardamom – 6

Preparation Of Instant Gajar ka Halwa Recipe:

Grate the Carrots

Wash and Grate the carrot using a fine grater.

2.Cooking the Carrots

Put the 500ml Milk in the wok Pour the grated carrot into the milk.

3.Add Sugar

  • After 5 minutes, stir the carrots. Cover and cook for a further five to six minutes over medium heat.
  • Stir regularly until the carrot is cooked for fifteen minutes. After 15 minutes, add sugar to it. Cook it on low heat for three to 4 minutes with a cover on. Observe the halwa. Cook carrot open until its juices reduce. Increase flame. Check at regular intervals.
  • In the meantime, crumble and stir in Mawa till the ghee separates. Cook, stirring, over low to medium heat until fragrant and color changes.

4. Add Mawa

  • Add ghee to the carrot mixture. Continue to cook, stirring regularly, until the halwa starts leaving the sides of the pan and the ghee separates.
  • To the remaining halwa mixture in the wok, add one cup of milk.
  • Cook until it is dense. Stir at regular intervals. Halwa is cooked on high from 5 minutes.
  • Add roasted Mawa, dry fruits, add cardamom powder.
  • Stir together and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Turn off the flame and continue to roast the nuts.

5.Add Nuts and Flavorings:

Add chopped nuts, cardamom powder, and saffron strands.
